Firefighters rescued an elderly man from a house fire on Flamingo Drive in southeast Houston. According to the Houston Fire Department, firefighters arrived to find heavy fire and smoke, along with an occupant who reported that his father was still inside the home. Firefighters entered the house, located the father inside a bedroom, and pulled him out. The man was immediately treated at the scene and then transported to a local hospital.
