Still, Apple’s colorful, relatively affordable MacBook Neo isn’t doing anything you haven’t seen before. Instead, the Mac maker is offering what may become one of the best deals in laptops today. The MacBook Neo starts at $600.
Apple introduced an all-new affordable Mac today, the MacBook Neo. Members of the media were invited to try the new device and other Apple products at events in New York, Shanghai, and London, and MacRumors' videographer Dan Barbera was in attendance.
This is the real killer deal that makes the MacBook Neo a real problem for Windows laptop manufacturers. In fact, looking at Apple's MacBook Neo announcement, it is the only new product the company announced where Apple mentions the $499 education pricing in its announcement and not just in its pricing bullet points.
A slew of updates have come out of Cupertino this week, including a new entry-level iPhone (the 17e), and upgrades to the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, among other tidbits. But the scene-stealer is the MacBook Neo, which, at $599, is Apple's most accessible and affordable laptop, but no cost was spared on design considerations and functionality.
